WikiCamps Australia app good for
Wasnt sure if the app would be worth the price...it IS!! Weve been using it on our epic 7 week road trip & it has saved us $$ by having all rv parks listed. Calling ahead we compared prices & snagged some great deals! The mapping works well & the suggestions for scenic picture locations is great.
Cant recommend it enough!
For the road trippers and travelers - this app saves you time and money! Allowing you to do more of the things you love and spend your money on things that matter...like beer! Highly recommend.
Great app, can easily travel without any camp6 if you had this app.
Nice complete app which allowed me to find all the spots I needed to find around me to sleep during my trip. I recommend this app !
If you are traveling in Australia with a van, caravan, motorhome or even a car, this app is for you!!
We have traveled all around Australia with it.
We also had the book Camps 7, but this app is better because there is more choice, description, update and the comments really help.
The only downside is the design which is not great, but its not the most important thing.
It worth the (small) price!!
If you intend to travel in aus you must have this app. it will change your life on the road and trust me you ´ll save a lot of fuel and money!
Some bad moments
We used Wicki Camps for about six weeks and I have to admit you wont get along camping without using it. But for the relatively high priced product you wont get any good. For many, many times the app just shuts down. Map details that were preloaded in the app are non existent if you reopen it. So you are forced to use the offline map function. Very annoying bright colors and also not too developed...using apple maps instead of google maps just wasnt a good idea! You might want to have a look at your NZ mates (Camper Mates). Not only is the app for free. It also has LOTS more helpful features like food stores, wifi hotspots, libraries, petrol stations...
On a 40 day motorhome trip through Australia and this app has provided great insight.
What a great affordable camping guide to Australia! Camps Australia Wide has an app that I wanted to get but couldnt afford. This app has been perfect and cost was a fraction of the price.
The map is now more difficult to use with the pin clusters. Id like to see the previous icons returned.
We are traveling around Australia. This is the greatest camp reference site!! Unbelievable amount of information. You can even find where you are on the map if you dont have a cell connection, by just having your cell service turned on. It activates the GSP tracking. I love the comments and photos. We use them all the time to decide where to stay. Very interactive. Thanks!
Used it on my trip from Perth up the west coast to Darwin then down to Adelaide. Saved me heaps on caravan parks and many of the spots were probably better than most caravan parks. Only thing
I suggest is reading the comments others have left. Great way to tell what youre in for.
